ISLAMABAD: Auditor Common of Pakistan in a briefing to Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Wednesday stated that the IMF has demanded an early tackling of the pending audit paras of the establishments and ministries.
“The Worldwide Financial Fund (IMF) has expressed concern over pending monetary audit paras of the state establishments,” AGP Ajmal Gondal informed the Parliament’s public accounts committee session chaired by Junaid Akbar MNA.
Auditor Common disclosed that round 5 to 6 lac audit paras of assorted ministries and establishments have been in pending.
Ajmal Gondal stated that the Chief Inner Accountant didn’t appoint regardless of the Parliament’s orders. “Monetary audit system not working correctly owing to non-implementation of the foundations,” AGP stated.
AGP identified that the efficiency audit of the ministries and establishments has been equal to none. “The establishments secretaries, chief monetary officers not clearing the monetary audit”.
AGP stated that solely 15 ministries have Chief Monetary Officers, whereas no Chief Inner Accountant exists in any establishment. “The inner audit system not present within the state establishments,” auditor common stated.
He stated the variety of pending audit paras with the PAC has reached above 30,000. AGP stated the failure in appointment of the chief inside accountant has been non-compliance of the Parliament’s orders.
The PAC summoned particulars from the ministries and the establishments inside one month.
